Privacy information relevant to Deferred Presentment Providers

Information we collect through the Alabama Deferred Presentment Site.

If you fill out the "Contact Us" form, your name and other identifying information will not be sold or shared with any person or organization.  Your e-mail address or telephone number may be used by our authorized employees to contact you concerning your comments, questions or complaints.

The "Providers" section of our web site contains information for providers who join the Alabama network. Your name and other identifying information will not be sold or shared with any person or organization.  Your e-mail address or telephone number may be used by our authorized employees to contact you concerning your request.

How your information is used.

When you enter a DPT into the database, including the name, phone number, social security number, and other personal information of your customers we use this information to help DPPs establish customer eligibility for a DPT.

The identifying information contained in the database for deferred presentment providers is confidential, except that the identifying information in the database may be accessed by other DPPs to verify whether a particular person is eligible to enter into a transaction according to Alabama rules and and regulations, and by the Alabama State Banking Department, Bureau of Loans, for the purpose of maintaining the database according to current rules, and for auditing and examination purposes as allowed by law.

We do not sell or rent information to third parties for marketing programs or for any other purpose.

Limited distribution of personal information.

At the direction of a DPP (when the "Submit" button is clicked), the information provided to us will be processed through the Alabama system and the appropriate response will returned to the DPP.  All of the DPPs in our network operate under federal and/or state laws and regulations. We will treat information sent indirectly through a DPP in the same manner the information you submit directly through the website is treated.

Security.

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol is used to safeguard your sensitive personal information during on-line transactions.  Using this widely accepted form of encryption, your transaction is secured from your personal computer to the computers processing your request, and the processing computers are located behind a secure firewall.   This method protects your personal information such as Social Security Number, residential address and phone number, and business information including financial statements and reports. 

Most importantly, this also protects your financial payment information including checking account numbers.   For added security, only a few authorized employees have access to this information for fee processing purposes.

Any changes to our privacy promise will be communicated through the web site at least 30 days in advance of implementation. Information collected before changes are made will be secured according to the privacy policy in effect prior to the change.
